Imagine the knowledge of a safe place where you can come and be you, genuinely, imperfectly, accepted as is, moment by moment.

This place for some might sound like a figment of the imagination, some place unreal, and unbelievable. I write this statement with a place in mind, and that place is The National Suicide Prevention Hotline (800–273–8255)/ soon to be The Lifeline and 988, this is just one of many places where a human can call, connect with another human being and BE. Completely raw. Share any thought or state of being without fear of rejection. Be listened to with care and empathy, while being encourage to stay safe, take gentle care of yourself and heal.

This is just one space where a person can be safe, imagine building this space in your circle, where the people near you can find this in you. You being a safe place ALWAYS for those near you who are living and learning, struggling and needing to connect with someone else to feel human, to feel humanity, to be okay. Building this place is attainable, It starts with the desire to create it, and setting your mind to the understanding that “we are all born for love, it is the principle of our existence.” (Benjamin Disraeli)

Trust me, (I am a responder at my states local crisis hotline) after experiencing an environment filled with the most understanding, epithetic humans I have ever met in my lifetime, I know this place is real, is good, and available to anyone. I also know that just like myself who intends to always BE a safe place for anyone who needs it, you can do the same.
