Join The Club?
I have a blog sight safefornowblog.com on staying safe while enduring mental health challenges, my heart is in it, my desire is to help others.
I got it in my head that my thoughts are going to be super helpful and I wanted to gain an audience. Where do I share? What social media sights do I use? How do I get my helpful tool out there?
I then came to a space MEDIUM, I joined, I started to copy my material from my blog sight and post it to MEDIUM, I realized that the large majority of people are all doing the same thing. What are the other members motivations? Do we all think we can “cash in on our good writing fortune”? Are we actually reaching an audience? Are the majority of the members here on Medium only here because they write. I guess I need to ask more people “why”, I have assumed that the motivation to use these writing sites it to gain an audience, but do people come to this space to read? Do they “join” to enjoy the narratives? What is the reader, writer ratio?
Honestly I have no idea, I am only curious if joining this club is valuable?
I want to encourage my readers to help themselves, to stay safe during their most challenging life circumstances. I also want my reader to know that I truly care, I know in the depths of my being that each and everyone of us matter, our lives no matter our thoughts about there importance are a source of power to the environment we encounter.
